Agricultural History Museum

The Agricultural History Museum holds an exhibition on life and labours in agriculture. Numerous pieces of agricultural equipment exhibited in a restored and renovated Hunsrück farmhouse dating from 1660 document the development of farming methods from the past to the present-day. The residential part of the farmhouse with its turn-of-the-century kitchen and spinning room give an insight into the everyday life of farmers. The museum also showcases traditional handicrafts, such as broom making, basket weaving, and the work of cobblers and cartwright. The house is bounded by a training apiary and healing herbs garden. The old village blacksmith's shop and a bakehouse complement what the museum has to offer.
